兰州大学生命科学学院植物细胞学家郑国锠(1914.3.30-2012.10.12)
1934年10月，作为南京医科大学的前身——江苏省立医政学院的首批学生入校学习，专业为与公共卫生密切相关的卫生教育科
1943年毕业于重庆国立中央大学博物系,获学士学位，1947年获国立中央大学硕士学位，1950年底获美国威斯康星大学博士学位。
1951年回国后一直在兰州大学生物系工作，1980年被选为中国科学院学部委员(现称院士、资深院士)。历任兰州大学生物系教授、博士生导师、系主任、名誉系主任，原杭州大学生物系客座教授，兰州医学院名誉院长。现任兰州大学生命科学学院细胞生物学研究所所长。曾任国务院第一届学位委员会学科组成员，中国细胞生物学会副理事长、细胞生物学专业委员会主任委员，中国植物学会常任理事，《中国大百科全书•生物学卷》委员会委员《细胞学》副主编，国家教委高等学校理科生物学教材编审委员会委员、细胞生物学编审小组组长。《植物学报》、《实验生物学报》、《西北植物报》、《应用与环境生物学报》编委，《细胞生物学进展》主编。当选第三、四、五届全国人民代表大会代表，九三学社甘肃省委员会主任委员，甘肃省科协副主席。
先后发表学术论文140余篇，编著国内第一部高等教材《细胞生物学》和教学参考书《生物显微技术》分别于1987年获国家教委优秀教材一等奖、甘肃省教委优秀教材一等奖。编著了《细胞生物学进展》（共三卷），《植物细胞融合与细胞工程•郑国锠论文集》。

他的科研成果，于1985和1986年二次获得国家教委科技进步二等奖。1999年荣获全国归侨、侨眷先进个人称号，同时获1999年全国先进科普工作者称号。2003年获“何梁何利科学与技术进步奖”。
