Profile:
Dr. Yuan Lin is a Professor and Doctoral Supervisor. Currently, she is the Director of Department of Maternal, Child and Adolescent Health at School of Public Health, the Assistant Director and Principal Investigator at National Key Laboratory of Reproductive Medicine and Offspring Health, and the Executive Deputy Director of Birth Cohort Research Center in Nanjing Medical University. Dr. Lin is the recipient of the National High-Level Talent Youth Project and the Jiangsu Province High-Level Talent Program, and is awarded as the Distinguished Professor of Jiangsu Province. Meanwhile, she serves as the Member of Reproductive Biology Branch, Chinese Society of Zoology, Member of Child and Adolescent Health Branch, Chinese Preventive Medicine Association, Vice Chair of School Health Committee, Jiangsu Preventive Medicine Association, Vice Chair of Mental Health Committee, Jiangsu Preventive Medicine Association, Standing Committee Member of Jiangsu Nutrition Society, Standing Committee Member of Reproductive Medicine Branch, Jiangsu Maternal and Child Health Association, Executive Editorial Board Member of Chinese School Doctor, Editorial Board Member of Chinese Journal of School Health, and Editorial Board Member of BMC Pregnancy and Childbirth. Dr. Lin received her Bachelor degree of Clinical Medicine, and Ph.D. degree of Epidemiology and Biological Statistics at Nanjing Medical University. Later, she worked as Postdoctoral Researcher at School of Public Health, Indiana University (USA) and Visiting Scholar at Eunice Kennedy Shriver National Institute of Child Health and Human Development, National Institutes of Health (USA). In 2018, she was appointed as the Tenure-Track Assistant Professor of Department of Epidemiology at Indiana University School of Public Health (USA). In 2020, she joined Nanjing Medical University as a Full-time Professor at School of Public Health. Dr. Lin has led research projects funded by National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC), National Key R&D Program, Jiangsu Provincial Natural Science Foundation, and Major Natural Science Research Project of Jiangsu Higher Education Institution. She published peer-reviewed articles in leading journals including Nature Genetics, Nature Communications, Science Advances, Lancet Regional Health-Western Pacific, and American Journal of Obstetrics and Gynecology. She is the Co-recipient of the First Prize of Huaxia Medical Science and Technology Award and the First Prize of Jiangsu Provincial Science and Technology Award.
