The Scientific Research Sharing Platform of the School of Public Health, Nanjing Medical University, is mainly responsible for providing technical support and services for the students and faculty to carry out scientific research, ensuring instrument maintenance and information management, improving the use efficiency of shared instruments and equipment, organizing the function development and application technology research of instruments and equipment, etc. The services provided mainly include the use of instruments and equipment and the feeding of experimental animals.

The platform currently has 12 full-time and part-time staff, among whom 4 have senior titles. The platform now has a next-generation sequencing machine, flow cytometer (analysis and sorting), laser scanning confocal microscope, automatic high content cell analysis system, computer-aided sperm analysis system, pathological slice scanning system, gas chromatography - time of flight mass spectrometry, capillary electrophoresis - time of flight mass spectrometry, high-performance liquid chromatography, high resolution mass spectrometry, gas chromatography mass spectrometry, inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometer and other large equipment, as well as an experimental platform and barrier system of zebrafish and experimental platform for rats and mice. At the same time, the platform is also equipped with real-time fluorescent quantitative PCR, preparative overspeed centrifuge, high-speed refrigerated centrifuge, protein nucleic acid spectrophotometer, all-band multifunctional microplate reader, chemiluminescence apparatus, gel imaging system, centrifugal concentration system, ultrasonic crushing system, zebrafish behavior trajectory analysis system (adult and juvenile), positive and inverted fluorescence microscopy and stereoscope, nano size and potential analyzer, freezing microtome, paraffin slicing machine, dehydrator, embedding machine and so on. The platform has realized networked management and real-time monitoring of all instruments and equipment and implemented a special personnel responsibility system in management.
