The Center for Hygienic Detection of Nanjing Medical University was founded and certified as a third-party testing agency by bureau of quality and technical supervision of Jiangsu Province in 1990. From this year, we started to offer services of toxicology assessment for sponsors, including drug, pesticide, foods, chemicals, etc.
Presently, we can undertake acute toxicity test, genetic toxicity test, teratogenic and developmental toxicity test, chronic toxicity test, carcinogenic test, immune toxicity test, nerve toxicity test, endocrine disruptor screen and toxicology test, alternative toxicology test, etc. Furthermore, we can also offer literature retrieval of new product research and development, English translation, formula design and other technical supports.
Total area of our facility is about 6000 m2, of which the SPF-grade animal rooms are about 2200 m2 and the conventional animal rooms are about 1500 m2. In this facility, 4000 rats, 17,000 mice, 2,000 guinea pigs, 400 rabbits, 100 dogs and monkeys can be carried simultaneously.
The center has equipped with a complete set of pathological equipment, blood biochemical apparatus, blood coagulation apparatus, automatic blood corpuscle apparatus, liquid chromatograph, gas chromatograph and other instruments for service need.
The aim of our center is to meet the needs of customers, the requirements of legal management organizations and the requirements of recognized organizations. In the past decades, we achieved outstanding social and economic benefits.
