从事疟疾等热带病防控策略和技术研究和推广,已有多项科研成果应用于我国疟疾现场防治,所提出的消除疟疾新策略已在多个国家推广并被世界卫生组织纳入技术指南。近年来,获国家重点研发计划和国家自然科学基金面上项目等十多项国际和国内重点科研课题资助;在《N Engl J Med》、《Lancet Public Health》、《Nucleic Acids Res.》和《PLoS Medicine》等国内外专业期刊上发表论文近300篇,其中SCI或SCIE收录109篇,第一作者或通讯作者66篇,H指数为25;获专利17项、软件著作权5项;作为第一完成人获江苏省科学技术奖与中华医学科技奖等科技奖励6项。2022年荣获“全国消除疟疾工作先进个人”。
